The number 11 holds a special place in my heart as in every sport I ever played it was my number. Once upon a time on a High School Softball/Baseball bus coming back from an away game the boys coach thought it would be "super" fun for the players with the corresponding numbers to sit with each other on the ride home. So I sat next to the #11 on the baseball team who happened to be the center fielder and one of my really good friends. We got to talking and he asked me why I always picked 11 as my jersey and I said because it's twice as good as the number 1. Ha Ha....

ReplyDeleteMy daughter was always 30 in Select Soccer and 14 in all her school sports. I hope she can keep that number next year when she goes off to play soccer in college. You're right, those numbers are near and dear to a players heart! :o)

My youngest daughter "claimed" number 11 - 5 years ago in volleyball at school. She loves 11 too.
