Fill in the Blank Friday

Well here it is Friday, we made it everyone!  This week went super fast maybe because I have so much going on right now, and am feeling a bit overwhelmed/stressed with life. But who isn't?!  The highlight of my week was I packaged up my care package for my Marine all pretty and am sending it off to Afghanistan on my lunch break today, I hope it brings a smile to her face:) Also the biggest accomplishment was that 100 people favorited the Junk on etsy! Holy Moly!  So in celebration, through Oct. 1 enter coupon code BIG FORTY for 40% off your order, even sale items! Tell your friends!

Here we go,  onto the blanks.

1.  If I could  medal in an Olympic event it would be     the snowboarding half pipe, because that would be so badass   .

2.  If I was stranded on a deserted island I'd take       a first aid kit       Water      &  a beach towel

3.       Parrots/exotic birds      are my most irrational fear.

4.  I'd rather      eat ox tails   everyday,  than       have to be someone I'm not    everyday.

5.  I am     excited for the weekend, I'll be attending my first MLB playoff game with my very best friend and my nephew .

6.  I should really be     organizing my stuff and cleaning up, or updating my shops.

7.  One of my favorite things in all the world is     going treasure hunting, or going on vacation.

Thanks for reading and hope you all have a great weekend!

Vintage Bazaar Wrap Up

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Let's talk about the awesomeness that was the Vintage Bazaar a few weeks ago.  This was the first time I had ever done a vintage show and let me tell you it was amazing, it's very different then doing a craft show btw.
The weather for the day unfortunately was cold and rainy but it seriously did not stop the people from coming out in droves. (This was what I saw when I went to the bathroom before the bazaar opened)

I wasn't sure how long it was going to take me to set up  as I had to sign up for a load in time before my booths dress rehearsal so I picked 7:30 am to allow for plenty of time before the 11 am start time, and seriously with the rain it all got set up and prettified by 10 am.  Around then all the other vendors around me where pretty much set up but since I was the new kid on the block they wanted to come and investigate what I had.

By 10:30 I finally decided to find a bathroom, and thankfully I did because the rest of the day I did not have a chance I was swamped! I think I sat down on my vintage cooler for o maybe 10 minutes the whole day it was so awesome, but a bit sad as I didn't get to go and explore what other people had.  I brought along my camera but only got a few pictures of the booth set up as I was schmoozing the customers all day:)  I thought it would be fun to get a before and after shot but while packing up it decided to down pour so out went that idea, I was just ready for some heat people! Outside in the rain for 10 hours = Brrr.  But I did estimate that I sold 70% of what I came with so it was Awesome!! Thank you to everyone that came out and supported the Trunk, and Thank You to the bloggers that blogged about the show, hope to see all of you in the Spring!

I will leave you with a few pictures as well as  Liz's Review of the show and of the 1950's button holer she purchased.

Part of our booth is behind the skeleton, picture via Thriftaholic, at the end of the day all of that big stuff was sold:)

When the barbarians came they trashed it a long with everything else. The great Augustus, Rome's first true great emperor. How could he have imagined that Rome, the whole world as far as he was concerned, would be in ruins. It's one of the quietest, loneliest places in Rome. The city has grown up around it over the centuries. It feels like a precious wound, a heartbreak you won't let go of because it hurts too good. We all want things to stay the same. Settle for living in misery because we're afraid of change, of things crumbling to ruins. Then I looked at around to this place, at the chaos it has endured - the way it has been adapted, burned, pillaged and found a way to build itself back up again. And I was reassured, maybe my life hasn't been so chaotic, it's just the world that is, and the real trap is getting attached to any of it. Ruin is a gift. Ruin is the road to transformation."

And I'm back

Hello Everyone!

Holy Eff I haven't blogged since August 8th are you serious?!!  Well I'm back, one of my dear friends kept telling me, "Dude you need to blog" so here we go.  I have so much to tell you Internet, some of it though will need to be a secret for now, how's that for coming back with a bang?!

So let's talk about me finishing my 30 before 30 list, I have now been 30 for exactly a month now and have been busier then ever, most of it has to do with the "secret" but most of it is because I made the conscious decision in my final weeks of my 20's to start living my life with no regrets.  So I've been saying yes to a lot more things and been putting my business foot out there a bit further. We shall see what all this fun brings in the next few months, and it will be more fun to see where I am at this point next year.

I am proud to say that there were only three things I did not cross of my list of 30 before 30, I did not take a sushi making class, did not have a picture taken of myself to give to my family, and I did not learn html.  But 27 out of 30 definitely isn't bad at all considering I gave myself only 2 months to finish all of those things.  I would like to give a giant Thank You to those of you that helped me fulfill the majority of the list, we had some great times and my final weeks of 29 ROCKED, hope you're all on board for 31 before 31! Ha Ha

It's good to be back!
