Dear Blog/Twitter World,

I would personally like to thank each and every one of you that adore this gem for turning me onto the fabulous store that is known as Anthropologie or better know to all of you as Anthro.  How in the world did I even exist before knowing about this gem? Every time I walk into one of their stores I am overcome with inspiration.  I love how they incorporate vintage things into their store displays.  O and did I mention that I adore their window displays, kudos to all of those store window designers they are ABSOLUTELY beautiful!!!  (BTW anyone know how it works, are there people within the corporation that just design windows or does each individual store do them?)
I may not be able to afford their clothes that are AH-MAZING but when they go super SUPER discounted I can.  For example this weekend I stopped in and got an orginally priced $198 sweater for $19.98 ummm YAY!!!
So in closing thank you virtual world for making Anthro known to me:) Now here is a sampling of some of the things I have been drooling over, I will have to just get over to my local Anthro to get some pictures of their amazing window display right now. Stay Tuned.

This sweater because I may have a small obsession with sweaters and scarves and this fuses the two,
 oh sweet joy!

This phone sort of makes me want a landline.

I imagine that my birthday later in the summer would be much sweeter celebrated in this little number, you know when I'm tanned and stuff. Maybe by then it will be on SUPER SALE! *gasp*

A top I can wear to the day job with it's black and white dress code. Jealous?

Wordy Wednesday

“I’ve learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on and it will be better tomorrow. I’ve learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he or she handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights. I’ve learned that regardless of your relationship with your family, you’ll miss them when they’re gone from your life. I’ve learned that making a living is not the same thing as making a life and I’ve learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance. I’ve learned that you shouldn’t go through life with a catcher’s mitt on both hands; you need to be able to throw something back. I’ve learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision and I’ve learned that even when I have pains, I don’t have to be one. I’ve learned that every day you should reach out and touch someone. I’ve learned that I still have a lot to learn in life and I’ve learned that people will forget what you said and what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”

Fill In the Blank Friday

This is inspired by Alycia of The Curious Pug

1. The phrase or punctuation I overuse most is "what the fuck" & "It is what it is"

2. This week I am thankful for all of the people that I never thought had my back that really do, my west coast pen pal turned text buddy, Tylenol PM and Undereye Conceler.

3. My best friends are my soul sister from high school that I've known for 12 years and a girl that I work with, wouldn't make it through the day without her.

4. A quirky thing about me is I sit on an exercise ball instead of a chair while I'm at work.

5. This weekend I have no idea what I'm going to do yet. And I most likely won't know when that day comes either.

6. Something that worries me is the future.

7. On my night stand you would find a book, my alarm clock, my glasses, and my cell phone.

Friday Favorites: Nautical Theme

The other day I was looking through my button collection and found a super cute one with an anchor on it.  So I thought I would peruse etsy for some nautical theme vintage and handmade.

This beautiful beach glass necklace dropped anchor  at oceanblueseaglass.  Ocean Blue Sea Glass is a mom and son team that makes jewelry out of sea glass.  I got this from their profile, a little history on sea glass
"What is seaglass you ask? Seaglass is any type of glass from bottles, antique glass and China that ends up in our oceans. Many pieces also come from shipwrecks and bonfires! Time slowly smooths the sharp edges of the glass. This can take years, decades, and even up to 100 years or more! The frosted and pitted look is said to come from the lime in glass which leeches to the surface of the glass due to being in the ocean for an extended period of time. This process is just not replicable by man. Our seaglass is naturally frosted and pitted by the ocean. We leave it up to mother nature to create this effect. The only alteration to our seaglass is drilling the holes to create our unique jewelry!"  I love it when people fill out their profiles:)

This sweet lil sailor dress  from Woolly MammothVintage.  Thinking my new niece that's due in may would eventually look super cute in this when she gets a bit bigger. I'm thinking this
dress + white tights would =super baby girl cuteness!

Vintage  Navy Gray Sailor Shirt  from Luncheonette tasty vintage.  I could see myself wearing this with some cute leggings or jeans, you know make it alittle girlier.

This lamp made from a buoy  that's in Faithful Roots shop.  I don't have anything nautical in my house but I think this would be a great addition.

Ships Ahoy! Over-N-Out

Friday Favorites (On Monday)

Hello Everyone!

I totally realize that my Friday Favorites from last week never got posted, so here it is.  This week I am totally obsessed with chalkboard anything as you will be able to see.  I'm working on some new table displays for craft shows and am really wanting to incorporate more chalkboard paint:)

These chalkboard labels  from TLG Crafts make it hard for even the most unorganized person (Ahem that's me) to stay organized and is perfect for the person that changes their mind alot  (Me again).  TLG Crafts also has super cute chalkboard tags for baby shower gifts:)

Ok I have a special place in my heart for barn board.  I have alot of things made out of my great-grandparents barn that the new owners took down.  So I immediately loved these barn board chalkboards from Bragging Bags.

Dear Easter Bunny please bring me this chalkboard pendant necklace, I've been a very good girl.  I absolutely love love LOVE this necklace from hadendesigns.  Really wish though it came in silver as I don't wear alot of gold but if the Easter bunny brought it I'd still wear it:)

Love LOVE this framed chalkboard from Revived Vintage.   I may have to convo Amy and ask for one in teal to match my shop colors.  So Pretty.

These student chalkboards remind me of sitting in my playroom with my cabbage patch dolls and playing school.  Industrial Relic has so much cute stuff.  These chalkboards though may just make it into my cart in the near future.

Hope you love all the chalk boards and I hope it didn't make you sneeze with all the dust:)
